Happy Valentine's Day!

"I love to go for a walk!"

One morning, Kiara climbed onto the chair by herself and
was playing with the artwork she brought back from the daycare.

I'm sorry for not updating the blog so long...
We got a cold around Xmas and took so long to fully recover.
I have been really busy at work, starting a new project.
Kiara is now 17-month old, running around, climbing onto
the chair, and saying more words. She is growing so fast!
Hope everyone had a happy Valentine's Day!

ご無沙汰しています。
年末に引いた風邪が長引いたり、仕事が忙しかったりで
ブログをほったらかしにしていました。

上の写真は最近のきいちゃんです。
早いもので2月11日で1歳5ヶ月になりました。
近所の公園へお散歩に行くのが大好きです。
とてもお転婆で、ちょっと目を離すと食卓の上に一人でよじ上ったり
私の鞄からお財布を取り出して小銭やカード類をバラまいたり
してくれます。。。色々と話す言葉も増えてきました。
毎日ちょっとした成長を見るのが何よりの楽しみです。

Freezing Week

寒い朝のお出かけ風景です。
一丁前にブーツを履いてダウンジャケットを着ています。
前髪が長くなったのでピンで留めてやるのですが
あっという間にもぎとられます。。。

ここ1週間氷点下の気温です。
昨日と今日は2日間マイナス10度を下回っていました。
これだけ寒いと雪を踏みしめる度にきゅっ、きゅっと音が鳴ります。
この音を聞くと北海道の冬を懐かしく思い出します。
コロラドは例年冬場も晴天の暖かい日が多いのですが
今年の冬は早い時期から雪が何度も降り寒波がよくやってきます。
エルニーニョ（もどき）の影響でしょうか。

Thanksgiving @ Austin

We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Pappas family in Austin.
It was very relaxing there and all the food was great!
In the video, Kiara is eating a piece of pumpkin pie for breakfast
and then Alexia and Kiara are working together on the cardboard
box art while Malin plays the keyboard.

Future Mathematician?

Kiara saw Kevin writing an equation or something on a scratch paper
and wanted to do it by herself. We were amazed that she was
holding the pen correctly and with LEFT hand!

Munchkin Masquerade

We went to trick-or-treat at the Pearl St. pedestrian mall
with Ron and Jocelyn. Kiara got lots of candies but all went
to mommy and daddy's tummy ;-)

Kiara painted the pumpkin in the first picture.

ボルダーのダウンタウン、パールストリートで開催された
ハロウィーンのイベントに出かけてきました。
恐竜やお姫様やスパイダーマンに扮した子供達を見て
大興奮のきいちゃんでしたが最後は疲れ果ててこの通り（笑）。

Kiara Kitty is walking at the Halloween party hosted
by the daycare! (You can also find me in the mirror :-)

託児所のハロウィーンパーティーで撮ったビデオです。
きいちゃんは猫が大好きで、9ヶ月の頃
最初に口にした言葉が「ニャンニャン」でした。

きいちゃんは13ヶ月半で本格的に歩きはじめました。
くまさんも13ヶ月半で歩きはじめたそうです。

数週間経った今はもっと安定してきて
スタスタと私の後を家中ついて来てくれます（笑）。

This music book was one of the birthday gifts from Meemaw
and Babou. She recently learned how to start the music and
playing it (and dancing) over and over!
